Open the example

Open the sample DeCA in PDF. It's a one-page document of about 11 KB that opens on any phone. It carries the note “Documento de ejemplo con datos ficticios. Sin validez” (sample document with fictitious data, not valid).

Its QR code contains its own address (deca.infonetconsultores.com/ejemplo/DECA-20261006-ejemplo.pdf). When scanned, the PDF downloads directly, with no sign-up, passwords or buttons, which is what the Resolution of 5 June 2026 requires so the inspector can read it at a roadside check.

What you can't see at first glance

  • The QR codeIt's printed on the document itself and contains the PDF's direct download address.
  • The creation dateThe PDF stores in its metadata the date and time it was generated: in the example, 06/10/2026 at 7:30.
  • No signatureThe footer notes that the document needs no signature for its administrative validity (Resolución of the DGTCF of 5 June 2026, section four).

Is the consignment note format valid?

Yes. According to the FAQ of Spain's Ministry of Transport (consulted on 15/10/2026), the DeCA can take the format of a consignment note, an ADR document, a waste identification document or a SANDACH (animal by-products) document, as long as it contains the article 6 data and the contracting shipper and the actual carrier are identified expressly and separately.

What isn't valid is a photo or a scan: it must be a digitally generated PDF with its QR code. If your software already produces delivery notes or consignment notes, see how to turn them into a DeCA.

FAQ

Can I use this example as a template?

No: it's a sample document with no validity. Each DeCA is generated digitally with the consignment's real data and its own address and QR code. With DeCA you do it from your software, by uploading your PDF or by filling in the form on the website.

Is my PDF delivery note sent by WhatsApp already valid?

Only if it's a digitally generated PDF with the QR code printed on it, and that QR code leads to an address where the PDF downloads directly. A photo or scan of the delivery note is not valid.

Is an e-signature or digital certificate required?

No. Neither the Order nor the Resolution requires a signature for the document to be valid. Only if you also use it as a contract, for example as a signed consignment note, would it need an advanced electronic signature.

How long must it be kept?

At least one year. Nothing is deleted in DeCA: documents stay in the repository and can be viewed and downloaded.
