If the tipper lorries loading at your quarry belong to self-employed hauliers or other companies, each trip is public transport and must leave with its electronic control document.
It depends on who hires the lorry. The Order defines the contracting shipper as whoever directly hires the transport from the party that performs it:
In every case, the obligation applies per consignment. If on the same day you load your own lorries and self-employed hauliers' lorries, only the self-employed hauliers' trips need a DeCA.
A quarry with 30 lorries a day sends around 650 consignments a month. Paying per document at €0.20–0.25 that would be €130–165; with DeCA, €25 a month per company.

Tell us how many lorries cross your weighbridge each day, whether you sell delivered to site or ex-quarry, and what software you use. In a call we'll see how DeCA fits in.

Only if it's a digitally generated PDF with all the data the Order requires (shipper, carrier, origin, destination, goods, weight, date and number plate) and a QR code leading to an address where the PDF downloads directly. A photo or scan of the ticket is not valid.
No. With your own vehicles and your own goods it's private (own-account) transport. It's advisable to carry documents proving that the lorry and the aggregate belong to the company.
Not carrying the document or not completing it is a serious offence under article 141.17 of the LOTT, fined at 401 to 600 euros, and each trip counts as a separate offence.
